Deputy CM Singhdeo Prioritizes Development and Transparency in Mayurbhanj District Review Meeting
Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo announced on Saturday that ministers will remain in headquarters from Monday to Thursday and visit districts for public interest on other days.During a review meeting on Mayurbhanj district's development programmes, Singhdeo emphasized the BJP government's commitment to development and transparency. He criticized the previous BJD government for neglecting basic facilities and justice for the people.
Singhdeo urged district administration and Agriculture department officials to address farmers' issues and keep MLAs and MPs informed about the progress of development programmes. Overseeing the Energy and Agriculture departments, he stressed the need to expedite development in these sectors, particularly focusing on resolving power supply problems for farmers needing irrigation. He called for attentive public grievance redressal to ensure all areas receive power supply.
Highlighting the BJP’s dedication to transparency and public engagement, Singhdeo mentioned that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other ministers are directly accessible to the public.
He outlined the BJP’s execution agenda, including financial assistance from the corpus fund for project implementation and the launch of Subhadra Yojana on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
Present at the meeting were Mayurbhanj MP Nabacharan Majhi, Balasore MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Baripada MLA Prakash Soren, Badasahi MLA Sanatan Bijuli, Bangiriposi MLA Sanjali Murmu, Udala MLA Bhaskar Madhei, and Rairangpur MLA Jalen Naik. Singhdeo, however, expressed his dissatisfaction with the chief district agriculture officer’s absence.
