Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM): Tasks include selling stamps and stationery, delivering mail directly to doorsteps, exchanging mail with account offices, and handling deposits, payments, and other transactions for IPPB.
Dak Sevak: Engaged in operational duties at various departmental offices such as Sub Post offices and Head Post offices, ensuring smooth postal services and customer satisfaction.
Age Limit for India Post GDS 2024:
- Applicants should be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years old as of the closing date.
- There is an age relaxation of up to 3 years for OBC candidates and up to 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.
- PWD (PH) candidates can avail of age relaxation up to 10 years.
Educational Qualifications:
1. Must have passed the Secondary School Examination (10th Class/Matriculation) with Mathematics and English as compulsory or elective subjects from any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India.
2. The applicant should have studied the local language (Name of Local language) at least up to Secondary standard, either as a compulsory or elective subject.
3. Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computer operations.
- Proficiency in cycling.
- Must possess adequate means of livelihood.

-Selection will be based on an automatically generated merit list derived from candidates' online submitted applications, in accordance with specified rules.
-The merit list will be compiled based on marks obtained or conversion of Grades/Points to Marks in the 10th Standard/Secondary School Examination from recognized Boards, aggregated to percentage accuracy to four decimals.
-Passing all subjects as per the respective approved board norms is mandatory.
-Applicants who have both marks and grades in their mark sheets must apply using marks only. Applications submitted with grades instead of marks will be subject to disqualification.
-No additional weightage will be given for higher educational qualifications.

- ₹ 100/- for General and OBC category candidates. The fee is to be paid by the applicants for all posts notified in the chosen Division.
