SUBHADRA Yojana: Date and Eligibility Criteria Announced by Odisha Deputy CM
Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the first installment of the SUBHADRA Yojana on September 17. The announcement was made during a party event in Puri, where Parida responded to criticism from Opposition Leader Naveen Patnaik regarding the BJP government's guidelines for the scheme.

Originally, the installment was set to be released during the Raksha Bandhan festival, but it will now be issued next month. This development comes amid ongoing political debate over the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the SUBHADRA Yojana's implementation.

In the midst of heated political discussions over the SOP for the SUBHADRA Yojana, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Saturday that the first installment of the scheme, initially scheduled for release on Raksha Bandhan, will now be issued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17.

Parida made this announcement during a party event in Puri. Her remarks were a response to criticism from Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik regarding the guidelines issued by the BJP government.

Parida further clarified that 1.08 crore people have been included in the beneficiary list for the scheme.

"Widows and Divyang women receiving allowances will get SUBHADRA assistance along with women artists receiving allowances. If a woman wants to list herself for the scheme, she can do so through a self-declaration and approval from the local MLA. Moreover, women who attain 21 years of age by July 1, 2024, will also be eligible for the scheme," Deputy CM Parida added!
