The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has updated the vacancy count for the 2024 RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) positions. The vacancies have seen a threefold increase, rising from the originally announced 5696 positions to a notable 18799.
Originally, the number of available positions was just 5696. This figure has now been significantly boosted to 18799 vacancies. For more details, see below:

As per the latest notification from the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), the number of vacancies for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) positions has been increased across all 16 RRB zones. The official notification states, "Railway Recruitment Board has published CEN 01/2024 for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) with 5696 vacancies throughout the Indian Railways. Following a review prompted by additional demand from Zonal Railways, the vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) have been raised to 18799."

Selection Process:-
The selection process for candidates will involve the following five stages:
• First Stage CBT
• Second Stage CBT
• Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination
